2015 March General Meeting

On March 5, 2015, Windermere Garden Club had a board and general meeting at Windermere Town Hall. Usually, our general meeting is on the 2nd Thursday of the month however, due to our annual scholarship fundraiser known as “Crazy Card Party and Luncheon” (CCP) occurring the 2nd Thursday of March this year, the March general meeting was moved to the 1st Thursday in March right after our board meeting.

Our hostesses at the coffee between the board and general meeting were Denise H., Carol W., and Bonnie B. They did a wonderful job celebrating St. Patrick’s Day and our 20th anniversary of the CCP. The food was great.

At this meeting in celebration of Crazy Card Party and Luncheon’s 20th anniversary,  President Peggy C. and member Dot B. were made Windermere Garden Club Life Members. Peggy and Dot were the members who first started this annual fundraiser. Without their hard work in creating this event, our club would not be able to offer annually two University of Florida scholarships and several school aged summer camp scholarships to Florida Federation of Garden Club’s Camp Wekiva as well as other community projects.
