WGC Annual Fundraiser 2023

Windermere Garden Club hosted its annual fundraiser’ 2023, also known as Crazy Card Party in March. Crazy card party returned after a 3 year hiatus. All the members went beyond the call of the duty to make this event a success! All the funds raised from this event go towards the horticultural scholarships.

WGC 2021 Plant Sale

WGC organized its second annual plant sale on Nov 13th. Members contributed plants, items for silent auction & raffle and previously loved garden goods. Event was a success. Proceeds from this plant sale will help WGC in sponsoring scholarships to students obtaining horticulture related degrees from UF & valencia.

2019 Crazy Card Party

On March 14th, we had our annual crazy card party and luncheon (CCP). Thank you to all who attended, donated, set up and cleanup after the fundraiser. This year’s theme was “Lady Bug Bridge”. Thank you and see you next year!

There will be three rounds of five hands each.  You will have time between each round to continue bidding on the Silent Auction and to buy raffle tickets.  Silent Auction cut-off is before game 11.

  • Sponsor Windermere’s Arbor Day
  • Support the Windermere Historic Schoolhouse restoration project
  • Support the rehabilitation of historic Nehrling Gardens as an education center and community resource

2019 March General Meeting

On March 7th at Windermere Town Hall, we had a board and a general meeting. Our program was preparing for our annual crazy card party and luncheon. We also had an election of officers for 2019-2021 club years. Elected were:

Our next general meeting will be on Thursday, April 11th at Windermere Town Hall. Guests and new members are always welcome. An informal coffee and “white elephant” sale will be at 9:30am. The general meeting will begin at 10am with a program on “Nehrling’s Our Native Birds of Song & Beauty” which will be presented by Windermere Garden Club member and Nehrling Gardens’ board member Theresa Schretzmann-Myers.
