On Thursday, Jan. 11th, we had an informal coffee and general meeting at Windermere Town Hall.
The hostesses for the informal coffee were Maria H. and Dayle B. The tables and floral arrangements were beautiful. Also, the food and drinks were very yummy. Great job and thank you.
Our program were the scholarship students and their advisors giving powerpoint presentations on their studies and events at the University of Florida at Gainesville and Apopka. After the meeting, the club treated the students and faculty to a lunch at Seasons 52. For the garden club members joining them, it was “dutch treat” for them.
Our next general meeting with informal coffee will be on Thursday, Feb. 8th at Windermere Town Hall. An informal coffee will begin at 9:30am and the general meeting will begin at 10 am with a program presented by Jennifer Mitchell of the St. Johns River Water Management District.
