On Thursday, Jan. 19th our club with Windermere Tree Board had an annual Arbor Day tree planting near Windermere Town Hall. It was a beautiful, sunny, and warm day and began with a Windermere Police honor guard to present the colors.

Jackie Rapport welcomed the attendees and introduced Windermere Mayor Gary Bruhn who read an Arbor Day proclamation and Pastor Barton Buchanan who gave the invocation. Theresa S.-M. a member of the Windermere Tree Board and our club made some remarks as well.

Then, the students of Windermere Union Preschool presented a musical program, help plant our oak tree and then had some cookies and apple juice provided and served by our club. After their snack, they saw a demo by professional tree climbers.
