On Feb. 11th, Windermere Garden Club had a general meeting at Windermere Town Hall.
We began with our informal coffee with Members Maggie K. and Marlene G. as our hostesses. Their theme for the coffee was St. Valentine’s Day. Great job, ladies!

Our speaker was Lewis Brehm who spoke on Disney’s development of the theme parks in California and Florida. He spoke mainly on the development of character plant topiaries and the changing of the native environments to enhance the visitor’s experience in the parks. It was very interesting that they were able to move huge oaks without damaging them and how the topiaries are so lifelike now that is a little scary.
