On April 9, 2015, Windermere Garden Club meet at Windermere Town Hall for a general meeting. Before the meeting, we had an informal coffee with our hostesses Amalie S. and Ann T. Thank you for a great job.

During the coffee and break between the speaker and the business meeting, we had a “white elephant” sale. Thank you to all the members who donated item(s), shoppers, and members who donated money as well. Also, thanks to our chairman Carolin W.

Our speaker was Windermere resident Becky Nix. She spoke on fragrance gardens which help to calm the mind and flavor our foods. She had slide photos and information on many different plants that are fragrant and grow well in our area. Becky had many clipping as well as dried herbs from her own garden which she shared with everyone attending. One of Becky’s favorite fragrant plant is the pine tree.
