2015 Feb. General Meeting

On Feb. 12th, Windermere Garden Club had its Feb. general meeting. Our usual informal coffee was hosted by Tanya C., Mary B. and Janet S.

Our program was presented by Katy MOSS Warner who is President Emeritus American Horticulture Society and Former Director Disney Horticulture and Environmental Initiatives.

She spoke on Windermere residents’ influence on Disney World’s early horticultural history.

In addition, she spoke on the America in Bloom National Awards Program (AIB). AIB is a program to improve the overall quality of life in towns, universities, and military installations and other areas though “on-site, one-on-one mentoring and coaching by a team of experts”.
