On Jan. 15, 2015, Windermere Garden Club along with Windermere’s Tree Board hosted an annual Florida Arbor Day tree planting with the students of Windermere Union Church Preschool providing the entertainment.
Windermere Garden Club and it’s members provided and served the refreshments which included cookies with apple juice.
An oak tree provided by the Windermere Garden Club and Windermere’s Tree Board was planted between town hall and the library. It will be replacing aging trees in the area.
There was a tree climbing demonstration as well.
A great time was had by all.
